In her 2012 article, "Online Collaborative Inquiry: Classroom Blogging Ventures and Multiple Literacies," Arzt opines that blogging serves all of the technological literacy competencies set forth by ISTE, NCTE and IRA. She makes a persuasive argument that the benefits of blogging include providing young authors with voice, harnessing their enthusiasm, allowing for opportunities for global exchanges and discussion, experience with multimodal content and a platform for learning reflections.
